I look through, to the other side of you. Negative space, space, still. Then. Light and dark, trapped, simultaneously. Sense of a wound, it won’t heal. Countless perspectives in my hands. I knew, you would be more than one thing. Illuminated air, womb, don’t breathe. There, another dimension. Maybe something else, completely. You should know, bye now.

Under Her Eye, Parallel Vienna
Shown as an installation in the group exhibition Under Her Eye at Parallel Vienna from 26 to 30 September 2018.
The exhibition Under Her Eye brings together positions that deal with the methods of photography. All of the images on display were photographed in black and white using analog technology (from 35mm to large format) and enlarged by hand in the darkroom. The photos saw “the light” of the enlarger and experienced the chemistry in the trays. The process of human perception resembles the slow emergence of an analog photographic image – the camera as a glass eye.

Graphic Design by Philipp Zöhrer and Tina Bauer.
